Will Suriya be replaced by Arun Vijay in Bala’s Vanangaan?
Suriya, with whom filmmaker Bala was reuniting after 16 years on Vanangan, withdrew from the movie earlier this month due to some alterations made to the plot. Suriya was meant to portray a character in the movie who was deaf and hard of hearing.
In the press release, Bala had promised that he and Suriya would undoubtedly work together again on a future project. “We will undoubtedly be joined shortly by the Suriyas I saw in Nandha and you saw in Pithamagan. If not, Vanangan will continue to be shot, “He’d alerted.
Atharvaa was rumoured to have been approached by the direction team to take over for Suriya, but now we learn that Arun Vijay has been chosen as the lead. When we attempted to get in touch with the actor to get his confirmation, a source close to him said that negotiations are ongoing and that an official announcement about the new cast will be made shortly.
The film’s funding source, Suriya’s production company, has also abandoned the project. Now that Bala himself is most likely funding the film, production is set to begin in February of next year.
While Arun Vijay is busy filming for Vijay’s Achcham Enbadhu Illaiye, Naveen is awaiting the release of his Agni Siragugal and Arivazhagan’s Borrder.
