Waltair Veerayya, a Telugu movie, is turning out to be Chiranjeevi’s most lucrative movie since his comeback with Khaidi No 150 seven years ago. The movie is expected to become Chiranjeevi’s highest-grossing work at the conclusion of its theatrical run after earning 129.8 crore in five days of international box office success.
Waltair Veerayya, which is directed by Bobby Kolli and stars Chiranjeevi as a fisherman who aids a local police officer in apprehending a notorious drug dealer who escaped from police custody and fled to Malaysia. Another prominent actor in the movie is Ravi Teja.
On Wednesday, the box office tracking website Andhra Box Office posted on Twitter with the gross for that movie after five days. Chiranjeevi will shortly start production on Bholaa Shankar, a Telugu version of the Tamil classic Vedalam. Tamannaah Bhatia and Keerthy Suresh have significant roles in the Meher Ramesh-directed movie as well.
