Vummidi Bangaru Jewellers, South India’s jewellery brand has won two awards at the 9th edition of ‘National Jewellery Awards 2019’for its craftsmanship. The event was help at a Grand Event in Mumbai on 15 th February.
Mr. Dibyendu Manna and Ms. Swetha Shanmuhavel accepted the Artisan Award and the Student of the year award on behalf of VBJ. The ‘Dance of Flowers’ collection is a jewellery featuring seven beautiful flowers on front of the pendant in seamless rotation around blue enameled base. The enamel work is inspired by jail work, and the materials used are 18K yellow gold and Diamonds. Mr. Jithendra Vummidi, Managing Partner of Vummidi Bangaru Jewellers said that they were very happy to have participated and win two presitigous awards at the National Jewellery Awards 2019.
He also added that every jewellery piece from VBJ is handcrafted in-house, using ancient techniques and maintaining the quality of workmanship. The jury compiled of Bollywood’s celebrated designers, socialists, fashion designers and jewellery designers. Winners were selected based on the fineness and end design of the jewellery. Dibyendu’s work was shortlisted during the screening process while Swetha won the ‘Student of the Year’ award and was offered a scholarship of Rs. 1 lakh.
VBJ was also a part of Lakmé India Fashion Week that was held last week. The Diamond Producers Asosciation (DPA) collaborated with Lakmé Fashion Week to bring The Real Cut, a platform for leading and trusted jewellery manufacturers. The distinct designs of VBJ with the Art Deco collection were showcased at the fashion platform. Commenting on the event Mr. Amarendran Vummidi, Managing Partner of Vummidi Bangaru Jewellers said that they were honoured to be part of India’s formidable fashion forum and Lakme Fashio.
