Varisu, Thalapathy Vijay’s new film, is set to be released in January.

Thalapathy Vijay, one of the biggest actors in Tamil cinema, is slated to debut Varisu, his first bilingual film, in January 2023. The highly awaited project, directed by acclaimed Telugu filmmaker Vamshi Paidipally, is being released in both Tamil and Telugu. Varisu, which is said to star Thalapathy Vijay in the titular character, is billed as a total entertainer about the heir of a well-known business family. According to the most recent sources, the creators are organising a large audio debut event.

Unconfirmed rumours also claim that the long-awaited Varisu trailer will be published at the same time. Previously, it was reported that the Varisu producers wanted to hold the film’s audio premiere event in Dubai, alongside the trailer launch in the Burj Khalifa. However, recent rumours indicate that the crew has cancelled the Dubai event plans and has settled on a well-known venue in Chennai for the audio debut. If all goes as planned, the Varisu team may officially announce the audio

The Thalapathy Vijay-starrer, which also stars Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead, gained popularity recently with the release of its first single, ‘Ranjithame.’ The thrilling number, penned by S Thaman, is performed by Vijay himself, along with MM Manasi. The ‘Ranjithame’ song has around 50 million views on YouTube and has quickly become one of the biggest chartbusters in recent memory. The first single’s huge success has completely upped the bar for the Varisu playlist.
