Umran Malik breaks his own record and becomes the IPL’s second-fastest bowler.

Umran Malik is now being taught in the Sunrisers Hyderabad camp by former Proteas quick Dale Steyn. This is his first season as a full-time player.

Umran Malik, the fast-bowling star from Jammu and Kashmir, is back in the spotlight after breaking his own record for the fastest delivery in IPL 2022 on Thursday. Umran Malik, who plays for the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2017 IPL, clocked 157 kmph during their match against the Delhi Capitals at the Brabourne Stadium, beating his previous record.

In his previous match against the Chennai Super Kings, Umran bowled a 154-kmph delivery. It had been heralded as the fastest delivery of the IPL 2022 until last night when Umran chose to break his own record by 3 kmph. Umran bowled a delivery clocking 157 kmph on the speed gun in the 20th over of Delhi’s innings, becoming the player to bowl the second-fastest delivery in IPL history and the quickest of the current season.

Shaun Tait, a former Australian cricketer, owns the record for the quickest delivery in IPL history. He has previously clocked 157.7 kmph during an IPL match. Meanwhile, Umran matched the speed of former India pacer Javagal Srinath, who owns the record for the quickest delivery bowled by an Indian bowler at the international level.
