Thunivu: Ajith Kumar completes his Bangkok schedule.

Following the spectacular success of Valimai, Ajith Kumar is hard at work on another masala film, Thunivu. After Nerkonda Paarvai and Valimai, this is the Veeram star’s third collaboration with the filmmaker. The highly anticipated thriller began filming in January of this year, and the crew also travelled to Bangkok to film a few high-octane bike action sequences. The crew is set to return to the nation shortly.

Major portions of the film were shot on large bank sets in Chennai and Hyderabad. Meanwhile, H Vinoth will shoot some last patching in the coming weeks before finalising the picture. The plot of the film is based on the true-life 1987 Punjab bank robbery, which was billed as the largest bank robbery in the country at the time.

Ajith Kumar will play an officer who transforms into a terrorist. In his upcoming film, he will play two characters. The producers have disclosed one of his looks, while the second has yet to be revealed.

Manju Warrier, Samuthirakani, Veera, John Kokken, Ajay, and Cibi Chandran will all play important parts in Thunivu. Boney Kapoor, who also funded his last release, Valimai, has supported the project.

Vignesh Shivan, Ajith Kumar, and Nayanthara will also be collaborating on a new film, provisionally titled AK62. According to reports, actor and director Gautham Vasudev Menon will play the antagonist in the film. However, in a recent interview with Pinkvilla, the filmmaker stated, “Vignesh is a very good buddy of mine, but nothing has come up to me as of now.” If there is such a thing, I would love to play an antagonist since it is the type of part that always intrigues me.”
