Swara Bhasker marches alongside Rahul Gandhi in Ujjain and joins Bharat Jodo.

On the 83rd day of the yatra, Swara Bhasker joined Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra at Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. Pooja Bhatt angrily refuted an earlier assertion made by the BJP that actors receive payment for their “guest appearance” in Bharat Jodo.

Swara Bhasker, a Bollywood star, took part in Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra in Ujjain on Thursday. The actor came in Indore on Wednesday and was scheduled to walk with Rahul Gandhi this morning. Other Bollywood celebrities taking part in the yatra include Pooja Bhatt, Sushant Singh, Rashmi Desai, Riya Sen, and Amol Palekar.

Swara Bhasker, a well-known anti-BJP activist, extended her support for the yatra as it began and applauded Rahul Gandhi’s efforts despite political defeats, trolling, and personal attacks. “Give credit where credit is due. Despite election defeats, trolling, personal attacks, and continued criticism for his ineffectiveness, @RahulGandhi has shunned sensationalist politics or communal rhetoric.

Given the situation of the country, efforts like @bharatjodo are praiseworthy!” Swara tweeted in October.

The BJP recently claimed that actors are compensated for their “guest appearance” in the yatra, which Pooja Bhatt, who joined Rahul Gandhi in Hyderabad, fiercely denied. Nitesh Rane, a Maharashtra BJP politician, uploaded a screenshot of what looked to be a WhatsApp message requesting that performers participate during their allotted time periods. Similarly, the Congress denied the BJP’s claim, claiming that participants in the yatra are dedicated to the cause.
