Suriya Looks Intriguing In This Revenge-Based Thriller In ‘Etharkkum Thunindhavan’ Trailer
Suriya is now preparing for the release of his forthcoming flick Etharkkum Thunindhavan in South India. The next film will be the actor’s first on-screen appearance in three years. His admirers are ecstatic to see him in theatres and are looking forward to seeing the flick. The trailer for Etharkkum Thunindhavan was recently released, despite the fact that the film is still over a week away.
On March 2, 2022, the creators of Etharkkum Thunindhavan unveiled the film’s long-awaited trailer. Suriya appeared in the teaser in a radically different role than in his previous critically praised film, Jai Bhim. Suriya, who plays the part of a young guy named Kannabiran, is introduced first in the teaser. Kannabiran intended to be a scientist, but owing to a series of events, he ended up becoming something else. In the trailer for the film, the actor is shown as a merciless life-taking hero.
The trailer also had a dialogue in which the actor addressed his last role as a lawyer. He said, “When I wear the coat, the judge is someone else. When I wear my dhothi, I am the judge.” Reportedly, the movie is based on the shocking Pollachi rape incident and how the victim’s brother decides to take revenge. The trailer hinted at the film being a revenge-based thriller. The short clip also revealed the film’s story will unfold against the backdrop of both a city and a village.
Pandiraj, who is well known for directing Namma Veettu Pillai, wrote and directed Etharkkum Thunindhavan. Suriya and Pandiraj previously worked together on the 2015 film Pasanga 2. Priyanka Mohan will portray the principal heroine and Kannabiran’s love interest, in addition to Suriya. Sathyaraj, Vinay Raj, Soori, Saranya Ponvannan, Rajkiran, M S Bhaskar vela Ramamoorthy, Jayaprakash, Subbu Panchu, and others also appear in the film. Suriya’s return to theatres will be his first since all of his prior ventures, including Jai Bhim, were distributed on OTT platforms. On March 10, Etharkkum Thunindhavan will be released in theatres.
Suriya is currently working on a number of projects. The actor’s next role will be in Vaadivasal, a film based on a Tamil novel of the same name. Vetrimaaran is directing the film, which will be the actor’s first cooperation with the filmmaker.
