Silambarasan, a Tamil actor, breaks down in tears during an event before the release of his film ‘Maanaadu.’

Silambarasan, a well-known Tamil actor, has been making waves in the South cinema business since earlier this year when his actioner Eeswaran was well received by fans. Making his comeback with a more intense action-packed film, the actor is poised to excite his fans in his next film Maanaadu. While the trailer and star-studded cast were enough to generate buzz, a video of the actor sobbing while addressing his fans have been making the rounds on the internet.

The viral video was taken during a pre-release ceremony where the 38-year-old, affectionately known as Simbu, addressed his followers. Overwhelmed by their enthusiasm and support for his film, the actor burst into tears and sincerely praised his fans’ unending affection for him. “I will manage the challenges, but you (fans) will take care of me,” he said.

When the actor burst into tears, the audience erupted in applause and began hailing him. The ceremony was place in Chennai, where the director, Venkat Prabhu, addressed the audience. Producer Thyagarajan, as well as the actors and crew, attended the ceremony.

According to Pinkvilla, the director of the film indicated that there would be a seven-minute tear-jerking sequence in the film. He also lauded the film’s performers and the musicians responsible for the sound soundtrack for setting the ideal tone for the picture. He stated,

“There’s a seven-minute passage in Maanaadu that always brings me to tears. STR is a natural actor, and Yuvan’s music has added to the scene’s atmosphere. Yuvan constantly goes above and above for Simbu”.

The film, directed by Venkat Prabhu, will be released on November 25. Along with Silambarasan, it will also include performers such as Kalyani Priyadarshan, Bharathiraja, S. A. Chandrasekhar, Karunakaran and Premgi Amaren, and S. J. Suryah as antagonists.

In addition to Maanaadu, Simbu will appear in Gautham Vasudev Menon’s upcoming action-drama Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu. This would be the pair’s third try.
