Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s Yashoda is in legal problems; the Hyderabad High Court has delayed the distribution of OTT.

Yashoda, Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s newest smash success, has sparked controversy few days after its release. The action thriller directed by Hari and Harish has been halted by the Hyderabad Civil Court. According to rumours, the EVA IVF Hospital has filed a lawsuit against Yashoda for portraying their facility in an unfavourable way.

The EVA IVF Hospital warned that the film’s depiction of the surrogacy mafia might hurt their credibility and reputation. The hospital’s management has filed a petition in court, claiming that the video is harming its reputation. The Hyderabad court heard the case and ruled in favour of the hospital by postponing the film’s OTT release. According to reports, Yashoda will be unable to release on OTT platforms until December 19.

The hospital also argued in the appeal that the video misrepresented them and cast them in a negative light. Yashoda centres around the surrogacy mafia in the IVF hospital, where Samantha performed the role of a surrogate mother.

The filmmakers have received letters from the civil court asking them to halt the film’s digital distribution and premiere while the matter is still pending. More information regarding the lawsuit will be released following the hearing next month.

Samantha is now in the news owing to reports of her being hospitalised for Myositis. Pinkvilla contacted Samantha’s crew, who verified that Sam is safe and well at home. Samantha’s spokesman stated that Sam is at home and is shocked at how false information is spreading on the Internet.
