Sai Pallavi, who is currently promoting her next film Virata Parvam, has sparked controversy and received backlash from social media users.
Sai Pallavi, who is currently promoting her next film Virata Parvam, has caused a stir with her remarks on Kashmiri pandits. The actress compared the Kashmiri migration to cow vigilantism in an interview with the Telugu station Great Andhra, which sparked backlash from social media users.
“The Kashmir Files demonstrated how Kashmiri Pandits were slaughtered at the time,” Sai Pallavi stated when asked about her thoughts on the film. If you’re looking at it from a religious standpoint, a Muslim driver who was transporting cows was recently beaten up and made to say “Jai Shri Ram.” So, what is the distinction between these two incidents? We must be decent human beings. If we are kind individuals, we will not injure others. To answer your question, neither the right nor the left will offer you justice if you are not a good human being. I’m a fairly neutral person. So, in my opinion, if you are stronger than me and oppress me, you are doing something bad. It is unacceptable for a big group of people to oppress a small group of people. A conflict must be waged on an equal footing.
When asked about her political views, the actress stated that she was up in a non-partisan home and was raised to be a nice person. Sai Pallavi’s remarks sparked a significant debate on social media, with many netizens criticising her.
Sai Pallavi is looking forward to the release of Virata Parvam on June 17th. True events from the 1990s inspired the film. It is set against the backdrop of the Telangana region’s Naxalite uprising and tells the narrative of a lovely love story. Comrade Ravanna, a.k.a. Aranya, will be played by Rana Daggubati. Vennela, his disciple, will be played by Sai Pallavi. Priyamani, Nandita Das, Naveen Chandra, Zarina Wahab, Easwari Rao, and Sai Chand also appear in supporting roles in the film.
