Rose Day 2022 Report

The Medhope Organisation, National Service Scheme, Madras Spice Round Table 159,Round Table India and Madras Spice Ladies Circle 133,Ladies Circle India came together to organise a hair donation drive on the occasion of Rose Day 2022.

This event was organised to raise awareness and show support to our little warriors suffering from cancer.

The program was on Thursday, 22nd September 2022; from 1-4pm.The inauguration program began with the Mc introducing the cause of the event and the importance of hair donation to those battling cancer.

The welcome address was given by Jahnavi Srinivas and Niranjan Ragavan, Final year MBBS and volunteers from Medhope.

The inaugural address was then delivered by the Vice Chancellor of SRIHER, Dr. P. V. Vijayaraghavan. A special address was then given by Dr. Julius Scott, Head of the Department of Pediatric Hemato-oncology. The keynote address was given by Tr.VijayRaghavendra, Area Chairman 2022-23,Area 2,Round Table India, LMF Tr.Bramjot Singh Kohli, Chairman 2022-23 of the Madras Spice Round Table 159.

All the donors were then presented with a rose, as a symbol of appreciation. The inauguration program was concluded with a group picture with all the donors, volunteers and dignitaries.

Finally, the vote of thanks was given by Jhai kiran, final year MBBS and president of the Student Council of SRIHER.

The professionals from Studio 7, hair salon then began cutting and styling the hair of all the donors. Over 90 donors from the SRIHER family donated their hair and made a difference in the lives of countless little warriors battling cancer.
