Tollywood Drugs Case: Rana Daggubati is sighted visiting the ED headquarters in Hyderabad.
Rana Daggubati was sighted today at the Enforcement Directorate (ED) headquarters for interrogation in connection with a money-laundering investigation related to a four-year-old narcotics case. The actor was papped this morning at 10.30 a.m. as he exited his car with heavy protection.
Previously, in the same case, ED interrogated director Puri Jagannadh, former actress Charmee Kaur, and Rakul Preet Singh for more than 8 hours. In the following days, ED would interview additional Tollywood celebrities over the matter.
Ten persons have been called for questioning in connection with the matter. Tarun, Ravi Teja, Navdeep, and Mumaith Khan are among the cast members. Among the celebrities who will appear before ED between August 31 and September 22 is cinematographer Shyam K. Naidu, Subbaraju, Tanish, Nandu, and Ravi Teja’s driver. All of these celebrities have been called in connection with the drug ring that was uncovered in 2017 with the arrest of drug peddlers. They are also being questioned for money laundering in connection with a drug-related investigation involving two private club managers.
Meanwhile, Rana Daggubati is a busy actor with a full schedule. Rana is looking forward to the release of Virata Parvam, which has been delayed owing to the second wave of the Coronavirus. The actor is presently filming an unnamed adaptation of the popular Malayalam film Ayyappanum Koshiyum (2020) with Pawan Kalyan, directed by Sagar Chandra of Appatlo Okadundevadu (2016) fame.
