Prashanth, the Jeans actor, is set to marry for the second time soon.
Prashanth, a Tamil actor, was one of the most popular performers in the South cinema industry in the late 1990s. He began his career at the age of 17 with Vaigasi Poranthachu (1990), and catapulted to fame with Shankar’s smash romantic comedy flick Jeans, in which he co-starred with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Following that, the actor had back-to-back hits with Kannedhirey Thondrinal (1998), Kaadhal Kavithai (1998), Jodi, and others.
Prashanth is most known for his performances in Jeans and Jodi. He was also the most attractive actor at the time. However, in the mid-2000s, the actor faced a setback when his films did not do well, and he gradually withdrew from theatres. Prashanth is again in the headlines over reports of a second marriage.
Prashanth, according to sources, is getting ready to tie the knot for the second time. It is also stated that he would shortly announce his engagement and that the wedding will take place at the end of the year. However, nothing has been formally announced as of yet.
Prashant married V. D. Grahalakshmi on September 1, 2005, and their son was born on July 31, 2006. Three years later, the couple split. Prashanth’s first wife filed a dowry harassment suit against him.
Meanwhile, Prashanth’s most recent film, Saahasam, a replica of Allu Arjun’s smash Julayi, was a box office flop. In 2019, the actor announced a film with filmmaker A Venkatesh and an Andhadhun remake, however, because of the pandemic, none of them were completed.
