Ponniyin Selvan, a Mani Ratnam production, will be released in two parts; Check out the new motion poster for PS-1 before it debuts.
On September 30, the first instalment of the magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan, PS-1, which stars Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sarath Kumar, Vikram Prabhu, Sobhita Dhulipala, Jayaram, Prabhu, Parthiban, and Prakash Raj, will be released globally. A new motion poster has been unveiled as PS-1 prepares for its major international premiere. The movie will be released in two parts.

Ponniyin Selvan, an adventure ride set in the 10th century, follows the factional power struggles inside the Chola empire, with enemies of the state acting as catalysts. The drama is set during the turbulent era before Ponniyin Selvan (son of the River Kaveri), afterwards known as Rajaraja Chola, became one of India’s greatest monarchs, ushering in a golden age.
Ponninyin Selvan is co-produced by Mani Ratnam and Lyca Productions, with Siva Ananth serving as Executive Producer. Music will be composed by A.R. Rahman, while photography will be handled by Ravi Varman. The filmmaker, together with Elango Kumaravel and B Jeyamohan, co-wrote the much-anticipated film, which is promised to be spectacular and unprecedented.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan plays Nandini, Vikram plays Aditya Karikalan, Jayam Ravi plays Arulmozhi Varman, Karthi plays Vandhiyathevan, and Trisha plays Kundavai. As the premiere date of Ponniyin Selvan approaches, Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions have promised additional updates and news on the film in the next week.
