People who apologise after viewing Laal Singh Chaddha on Netflix, according to Manav Vij, “should transfer $500 to Aamir Khan.”
Manav Vij discussed the boycott movement against Laal Singh Chaddha and how some expressed regret after watching it on Netflix. He also suggested transferring $500 to the account of Aamir Khan Productions.
The boycott movement that Laal Singh Chaddha faced before its August release has been discussed by actor Manav Vij.In a recent interview, he asserted that people apologised to him after viewing the Netflix film. He recalls instructing the producers to transfer “500 to Aamir Khan Productions’ account” as they sustained a loss.
Laal Singh Chaddha, a comedy-drama, is directed by Advait Chandan. It is a remake of the Forrest Gump movie from 1994.. Along with Manav, the film also features Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Naga Chaitanya, and Mona Singh. Mohammad Bhai, a Pakistani army commander who befriends Laal, was the character that Manav played. Despite having a 180 crore budget, the film barely brought in less than 90 crores in its opening week.
Manav stated, “It (the boycott trend) confuses you and upsets you,” in an interview with Mid-Day. The boycott trend led to a lot of individuals expressing regret to me on Twitter for not seeing Laal Singh Chadha in theatres. But when they viewed it on Netflix, they adored it. If you were so sorry, you ought to have sent $500 to Aamir Khan Productions’ account, I retorted. Because of your incompetence, the producers are at a loss.
He continued, “It’s a big deal that one of the best actors in the world loved my work,” when talking about being a part of Laal Singh Chaddha. Aamir had a great deal of faith in me.
