Nobody, according to Taapsee Pannu, is aware of what is now engaging the audience: “If anyone knew, they would be the God of film.”

Taapsee Pannu has been transparent about how the Bollywood box office operates and what she looks for in a movie to determine whether or not it would appeal to the public. Recently, the actor witnessed the direct Zee5 premiere of her movie Blurr. While the thriller got some criticism for its length, the actor was praised for her performance in it.

Taapsee was asked how she determines what is successful or unsuccessful with the public while talking about choosing strong characters in her profession. “Well, if someone knew this, I think that person would be the God of cinema right now,” the actor retorted. None of us, in my opinion, can definitively state or know what is or is not effective with the audience. As of right now, when considering a movie as an audience member, I consider whether or not I want to invest my time and money in it. I then determine whether or not to do it. Otherwise, there is no guarantee for anyone or anything; kisi ko kisi cheez ki nahi hoti.

In the movie Blurr, Taapsee plays a lady who battles with gradually losing her vision while also looking into the strange death of her twin. When she couldn’t see while filming, she claimed that her other senses were sharpened. “It strengthens your other senses. I was able to think and hear more. When you can’t see, your other senses naturally compensate. Your mind creates several meanings once you can see. Your mind is really sharp when you can’t see. After spending hours sitting with my eyes covered, I finally saw the difference,” she stated.

The Ajay Bahl-directed film Blurr premiered on Zee5 on December 9. Gulshan Devaiah, Kruttika Desai Khan, and Abhilash Thapliyal are also featured in the suspenseful film. The film, which is an official Hindi version of the Spanish thriller Julia’s Eyes, was well-received by critics. When asked how the movie differed from other thrillers she had seen, Taapsee responded, “Well, what drew me was that one had to constantly keep speculating as to what is happening and why is it occurring and it’s not only who has done it. Additionally, it concerns everything that affects the persons engaged on a human level.Instead of being a typical thriller, it appealed to me more because it has so many human depths, including relationship layers, interpretations of human nature, and character layers.

Jana Gana Mana is the first of Taapsee’s movies scheduled for 2023. Alien and Who Ladki Hai Kahan are the next two. Dunki, her first project with Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani, will be released at the end of the year.
