Nayanthara and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s next film promises a fun ride of love and laughter.

Nayanthara and Prithviraj Sukumaran will appear together in the suspense drama Gold. Following the intriguing teaser, the team released the equally enthralling first look poster for the film. The still shows Prithviraj Sukumaran on the phone while the Lady Superstar stares at him. These two are surrounded by the film’s other main characters.

The Malayalam drama, billed as an action-comedy, was written, edited, and directed by renowned filmmaker Alphonse Putharen, best known for his work in the 2015 romantic film Premam. This film marks Alphonse Puthren’s return to directing after a nearly seven-year hiatus. Gold, which is produced by Supriya Menon and Listin Stephen, will also feature Ajmal Ameer, Shabareesh Varma, Krishna Sankar, and Chemban Vinod Jose in supporting roles.

According to reports, Gold will be released in theatres on August 19, this year. After the puja ceremony on September 8, 2021, the film went into production. The project’s shoot has already concluded, and images of Nayanthara from the set of the film have drawn a lot of attention from moviegoers.

Aside from work obligations, fans are also excited about Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan’s upcoming wedding. After many years of dating, the power couple is set to exchange wedding vows on June 9th. Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan recently met with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin and invited him to the wedding.

For the uninitiated, the director and actress first met on the sets of Naanum Rowdy Dhaan in 2015. Their work collaboration evolved into friendship, and then into everlasting love.
