Naga Chaitanya To Make Bollywood Debut In ‘Laal Singh Chaddha!
Naga Chaitanya, a Telugu star, will join Laal Singh Chaddha’s Ladakh shoot for the action sequence. The film’s intense battle scene will be directed by action director Parvez Shaikh, and Naga will play an important role in the movie sequence, which will be filmed in the rugged terrain. Naga Chaitanya will make his Bollywood debut in Laal Singh Chaddha.
Laal Singh Chaddha is an adaptation of the 1994 American film Forrest Gump, and it will star Naga Chaitanya. His character is said to be modeled after Benjamin Buford Blue, alias Bubba, who was played by Mykelti Williamson in the original film. When Gump enlists in the US Army, Bubba becomes his best pal. The two agree to become business partners, and Gump keeps his word after Bubba is killed in the Vietnam War. “Chaitanya will join Aamir in the upcoming leg,” a source told Midday.
More specifically, the source said that since the film explores India’s political and cultural milestones from the protagonist’s eyes, the Kargil War would play an important role in the plot. A grand battlefield scene has been imagined by lead actor Aamir Khan and director Advait Chandan. According to the source, if anything goes as planned, the production team will recruit locals for the series and the unit will be housed at The Grand Dragon hotel in Ladakh. The director has planned a month-long trip to the northern area and plans to leave as soon as the situation in the world improves.
Laal Singh Chaddha is an upcoming comedy-drama film directed by Advait Chandan and written by Atul Kulkarni, with Kareena Kapoor Khan in the lead role. The film was supposed to be released for Christmas 2020, but production was pushed back due to the coronavirus pandemic. Laal Singh Chaddha is set to be released around Christmas 2021.
