Swedish motorcycle brand Husqvarna in partnership with Bajaj has unveiled Svartpilen 250 and Vitplien 250 in India which starts at an introductory price of Rs. 1.80 lacs. The Svartpilen 250 is made as a rugged motorcycle with an upright riding posture and dual purpose tyres while the Vitpilen 250 is a sporty café racer with an immersive riding posture.
Both the bike will be available at KTM showrooms which is managed by Bajaj. The showrooms will be upgraded to sell both the brands, and the bikes will be available in over 100 showrooms across 45 cities. It will further be expanded to 400 KTM showrooms across 275 towns.
The Husqvarna motorcycles come with a Swedish design language with elegance and minimalism, making it distinct in the premium motorcycle segment. Both the 250 CC machines feature fuel injected, liquid cooled, single-cylinder, 4-stroke DOHC engine, making it capable of delivering a punchy and fun riding experience. Rakesh Sharma, Executive Director, Bajaj Auto Ltd. said that the premium motorcycle segment has seen a strong growth in India in the last five years. He also added that the Husqvarnas are meant for progressive riders with an evolved taste and strong appreciation for style without compromising on performance and design.
Husqvarna has been in production since 1903, making it one of the oldest motorcycle brand in the world, and has dominated the world of motocross racing over the years.
