MS Dhoni’s Definitive Response To Retirement After IPL 2022 Will Delight All Cricket Fans.

Fans were keen to learn whether this would be the 40-year-old’s final season or not. And Dhoni answered the question definitively.

All eyes were on former Team India captain MS Dhoni ahead of the last game of the IPL 2022 season between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals. Fans were excited to see whether this would be the 40-year-old final old man’s season or whether he would return next season. And, as it turned out, Dhoni provided a definitive answer to the issue.

Will MS Dhoni participate in the IPL 2023 season?

MS Dhoni said at the toss that he would return to the IPL next year, much to the pleasure of all Indian fans. When asked if he would participate in the cash-rich tournament next season after winning the toss in CSK’s final game of the IPL 2022 season against RR, the 40-year-old said, “Definitely.” All Indian supporters will delight when Dhoni announces his retirement intentions in the following section of his response.
He said, “Since it would be unjust not to appreciate Chennai, that will not be pleasant for CSK fans.” Dhoni stated towards the end of the IPL 2020 season that he wanted CSK supporters to be able to say goodbye to him so he would not retire at the end of that season.

Dhoni wishes to play his final match in Chepauk.

Dhoni went on to suggest that, owing to the COVID-19 epidemic, the IPL 2023 will be contested in home and away circumstances rather than at a single venue. So he’d want to say “thank you” and “goodbye” to “all the many venues” he’s played over his career.
Mumbai is one city where I have a lot of love and devotion as a team and as an individual. However, it would be unkind to CSK fans. Also, ideally next year, there will be an option for the teams to go as a thank you to all of the many places where we will be playing games at different venues. Whether this will be my final year or not is a big issue because we can’t anticipate anything two years in the future, but I’ll be working hard to come back strong next year.

MS Dhoni’s incredible IPL legacy as captain.

While MS Dhoni is one of Team India’s finest captains in history, his IPL record is as amazing. He is one of the most successful captains in IPL history, having guided the Chennai Super Kings to four titles (2010, 2011, 2018, 2021), trailing only the five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI). To top it all off, the club has won two Champions League T20 crowns under Dhoni’s guidance, tying MI.
