Motor Vehicle Act 2019 :
The Motor Vehicle Act 2019 provides medical assistance to citizens in the event of any road accident. Also, the amount of compensation paid in the event of death/injury has increased. We will see the crimes and penalties in this new Motor Vehicle Act 2019.
1. Offence
Overloading of two-wheelers.

INR2,000, disqualification of license for 3 months and/or community service.
2. Offence
Not wearing a helmet.

Punishment in the form of community service can be imposed for traffic violations. A newly-proposed section defines community service as “unpaid work which a person is required to perform as a punishment for an offence.
