Mike Tyson, the boxing icon, will soon be featured in the sports action flick Liger, opposite Ananya Panday and Vijay Deverakonda. Ananya recently posted a photo of herself and Tyson recreating his famed ‘Bite Fight.’ The photo has sparked interest among netizens since the ‘Bite Fight’ was one of the most contentious battles in which the professional wrestler competed throughout his career.

Ananya Pandey and Mike Tyson have started filming Liger, their forthcoming action film. Ananya recently took to Instagram to post a photo of herself with Mike from the set of the film. Tyson was spotted biting Ananya’s ear as he stood with her, imitating the notorious ‘Bite Fight’ gesture of the former boxer. The actor captioned the photo, We’re certainly getting along pretty well.

Meanwhile, ‘Bite Fight’ is one of the most notorious battles in modern sports history. On June 28, 1997, Tyson chewed off a piece of his opponent and world champion Evander Holyfield’s ear. When Tyson bit him for the first time, the match was briefly halted. The battle was restarted after referee Mills Lane deducted two points from Tyson. After the bout resumed, however, Tyson bit him again, resulting in his disqualification, and Holyfield won the contest. The initial bite was severe enough to take a chunk of Holyfield’s right ear, which was later discovered on the ring floor. Tyson subsequently said that his actions were in reaction to Holyfield continually headbutting him without consequence.

The film stars Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday, and Mike Tyson is expected to make his acting debut in the Indian cinema business. Aside from the major actors, the film also has Ramya Krishnan, Ronit Roy, Ali, Makarand Deshpande, Getup Srinu, Abdul Quadir Amin, and a number of other significant actors. The film was shot in both Telugu and Hindi at the same time, and it would be Ananya’s debut in the South Indian film business.

Puri Jagannadh will also produce the film under his own company, Puri Connects, in addition to directing it. Charmme Kaur, an actor-turned-producer, is also involved with the project. The film’s technical personnel comprises music composer Mani Sharma and editor Junaid Siddiqui, with Vishnu Sharma in charge of cinematography.
