‘Michael,’ Sundeep Kishan welcomes his ‘mentor,’ Gautham Menon, as the antagonist.

Gautham Menon, a filmmaker, has been cast as the antagonist in Ranjit Jeyakodi’s next pan-India thriller, Michael. Sundeep Kishan and Vijay Sethupathi play key roles in the film. Sundeep Kishan and the Michael team welcomed Gautham Menon to the cast on Monday, sharing a new poster on their verified Twitter accounts. Gautham Menon’s bleeding hands with shackles may be seen in the posture.

Sundeep Kishan posted a graphic on the microblogging site depicting Gautham Menon’s injured hand. He replied in response to the tweet,

Gautham, whose credits include Vinaythandi Varuvaya (Ye Maya Chesave in Telugu), Vaaranam Aayiram, and others, has acted in several projects in the Tamil cinema business as well as others. He has recently acted in films and anthology series for OTT platforms, including the Malayalam film Trance (2020), the Tamil film Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal (2020), and the Tamil OTT series Paava Kadhaigal, among others. He is now preparing to portray a villain in the upcoming film, in which he will face off against Sundeep and Vijay.

Ranjit Jeyakodi, noted for his work on Puriyadha Pudhir and Ispade Rajavum Idhaya Raniyum, will direct the film, which will be distributed in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. Jeyakodi wrote a unique script for the film, which is a collaboration between Bharath Chowdary and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao under the aegis of Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP and Karan C Productions LLP. The presenter is Narayan Das K. Narang, and the film’s additional cast and staff members will be announced later. The project is anticipated to go into production soon.

Meanwhile, for the uninitiated, Sundeep Kishan’s flicks Gully Rowdy and A1 Express will be released in Telugu. Kasada Thapara, his film, was a hyperlink drama that was released in August on the internet streaming service SonyLIV. The actor also supported Vivaha Bhojanambu, which was released on the same OTT platform.
