An Online Awareness Campaign on Information Literacy
About the Event:
Infolit stands for Information Literacy. It is an online awareness campaign conducted by the Second Year Visual Communication Post Graduate students as part of their course on Public Relations and Event management. Information Literacy refers to the ability to identify, evaluate, organize, use, and communicate information. It deals with the knowledge about how to receive, use and send information to others. It also deals with misinformation and its impact on individuals and society. By organizing this event, the students learn to maintain good public relations, address press conferences, release press statements, and utilise other PR tools developing knowledge of skills to execute and manage events.

Platform: Online (Google Meet and YouTube Live)
Objectives of the Campaign:
• To give awareness about misinformation (diffusion, detection, and intervention), the tools to identify that misinformation, need to make people understand the impacts
• To make students agents of awareness and change in the society regarding misinformation.
