Kuldeep Yadav scores four goals as the Delhi Capitals defeat the Kolkata Knight Riders.
Kuldeep Yadav and David Warner delivered match-winning performances to help Delhi Capitals beat Kolkata Knight Riders by four wickets and an over to win by four wickets and an over. DC spinner Kuldeep Yadav came back to bite his previous team (KKR) with a superb session of bowling that included a four-wicket haul.
After being asked to bat first, KKR lost Aaron Finch early in the innings, with Chetan Sakaria dismissing the Australian white-ball skipper. Venkatesh Iyer’s bad form has continued, as he was again sacked cheaply. Shreyas Iyer, the KKR captain, held one end, but his team lost two more wickets and was suffering at 35/4. Iyer and Nitish Rana attempted to get KKR Innings back on track before Iyer was dismissed for 42 runs. Nitish Rana reached his half-century before being removed for 57 runs. KKR managed to pick up 146/9 in 20 overs. Kuldeep Yadav concluded with a score of 4/18, while Mustafizur Rahman had a score of 3/18.
The Delhi Capitals also got off to a shaky start, losing Prithvi Shaw and Mitchell Marsh in the opening two overs. Umesh Yadav dismissed Shaw for a duck, while Harshit Rana dismissed Marsh for 13 runs. Warner and Lalit Yadav then put up a good 65-run stand until Umesh broke the partnership, knocking Warner for 42. After that, the Capitals lost Lalit and Rishabh Pant in quick succession. Axar Patel then attempted to restore normalcy before running out of 24 hours (17). The Delhi unit was then taken home by Rovman Powell, who finished the match with a maximum.
