In advance of his meeting with the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, Vishal denies rumours that he may enter politics.

Laththi, the most recent movie starring actor Vishal, hit theatres yesterday, December 22. The audience has given the movie a variety of reviews. On December 27, Vishal is reportedly scheduled to meet with Andhra Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

This planned meeting has given rise to rumours that the actor is entering politics. According to reports, Vishal would run for a state assembly seat against N Chandrababu Naidu, the leader of the Telugu Desam Party.

The actor has since dispelled the rumour and disputed it, saying it is false. According to reports, Vishal told the media that he is not running against Chandrababu Naidu in any elections and that, for the time being, he will be concentrating on his acting career.

On the professional front, Vishal is now filming “Mark Antony,” his upcoming movie in which he will be joined by SJ Suryah and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in significant parts. The Adhik Ravichandran-directed movie began production in January 2022, and it’s expected to hit theatres the following year.

GV Prakash Kumar is the composer of the film’s music. Prior reports said that Vishal and SJ Suryah will each play two characters in the movie, but the filmmakers have yet to make this information official.
