Environest Global has signed a memorandum of understanding with U.S based Biopipe Global to install a state-of-the-art sewage treatment plant (STP).
The patent technology will allow to treat sewage waste in a 100 percent noiseless, odourless and sludge-free way that makes use of a highly efficient Turkish technology. The use of pre-fabricated structures would allow the user to install RCC structures to place STP unit. The STP can process the sewage to potable water which can be used for cleaning and agriculture.
Mr. Senthil Kumar, a city based entrepreneur and an MBA from UK said that Environest has a plan to a achieve a business of Rs. 100 crore in the next three years, targeting institutions, hotels, hospitals, residential complexes and others. “Negotiations are underway for setting up STP with Hotel Dolphin, Vizag, Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad, GRT group of hotels ,Pan India, Novel Tech Park, Bangalore and Vygyan University, Guntur which is expected to fructify in the coming months,” he added.
Indians on average use about 120-125 litres of water daily and half of this are for waste purposes. By using processed water from the treatment plant, there is a potential to generate 940 MW power. With the central and state government focusing on protecting waste water management and with the allocation of Rs. 2.3 lakh crore towards processing waste water, irrigation and rural development, the company will find many takes in corporate as well as government initiatives.
