Dhanush’s directorial project starring Nagarjuna and Aditi Rao Hydari is set to be revived.

In 2017, Dhanush made a successful directorial debut with Pa Paandi. However, owing to unexpected circumstances, his second enterprise was put on hold. The producers then clarified that the project had been placed on hold due to the actor’s hectic filming schedule. According to the recent rumor about the project, Dhanush is willing to continue working on it.

The film’s title is rumoured to be Naan Rudran, and it is set in the pre-independence era. While the title has yet to be confirmed, the film will be produced in both Tamil and Telugu. Dhanush and Nagarjuna are believed to be in the key roles in DD 2. Meanwhile, Aditi Rao Hydari, who starred in the film Hey Sinamika, is expected to be cast as the main heroine.

This multilingual film, which is being produced by Thenandal Studios, will star SJ Suryah, Sarathkumar, and Srikanth, among others. Sean Roldan will compose the music for the film, with Om Prakash doing photography and Prasanna GK handling editing.

Nagarjuna previously remarked that his role in the film will be perceived as someone from 600 years ago.

Meanwhile, Dhanush is now filming Naane Varuven, his forthcoming thriller. Selvaragahavan, his brother and filmmaker, is directing the upcoming suspense drama. Other projects in the works for the versatile actor include Thiruchitrambalam, directed by Mithran Jawahar, and Vaathi, a Tamil-Telugu bilingual film directed by Venky Atluri.

Karthick Naren’s directorial Maaran, which also starred Malavika Mohanan, was the star’s most recent appearance on our screens.
