College student carries a weapon on a train in Chennai.
Another incidence of college students acting out and displaying firearms was seen on video in Chennai’s outskirts. The footage of the student standing precariously on the train’s footboard with a machete has gone popular on social media.
In the footage, a group of college students can be seen dangerously clinging on a pole at the entry of a train.
The scary thing was that one of the pupils was holding a machete and striking it on the ground as well as the train’s cabin. Commuters were stunned as they remained still, observing the kids’ unlawful behaviour.
For years, students at Pachaiyappa College and Presidency College have been recorded on tape engaging in disruptive behaviour, carrying weapons in public, assaulting one another, and endangering commuters, while authorities have been less effective in bringing them under control.
The most recent footage was filmed on a train travelling from Velacheri to Arakkonam at Avadi station.
According to reports, the pupils were from Pachaiyappa College. They were behaving like way after boarding the train at Perambur railway station.
