Chhatriwali, starring Rakul Preet Singh, will be shown on ZEE5.

A brand-new original movie called Chhatriwali has been revealed by the OTT platform ZEE5. The announcement, which featured Rakul Preet Singh and Sumeet Vyas in the key roles, was made on World Aids Day. The Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar-directed direct-to-digital film is produced by Ronnie Screwvala and is scheduled to debut on the platform in the first few months of 2019. The importance of male contraception and safe sex will be a major social theme of the movie.

Here is the movie’s first trailer. In a statement made public by the producers, Chhatriwali is “a Haryana-based slice-of-life movie. In a condom factory, Rakul Preet portrays the head of quality control. Though first nervous and ashamed of her profession, she quickly learns the value of safe sex and decides to destigmatize the discussion surrounding sex education. The film builds the mood and conveys the message with empathy and humour while maintaining an entertaining and family-friendly tale.

On this World Aids Day, I join the fight against HIV by promoting the use of male contraception and safe sex with my upcoming movie Chhatriwali.
