Before their movie Darbar came to be, Murugadoss had also spoken openly about his intentions to work with Rajinikanth on a Chandramukhi spin-off. He had made this known while Darbar was being promoted. According to rumours, Murugadoss had proposed a concept for a spin-off movie that featured two of Rajinikanth’s Chandramukhi characters. Even the enthusiastic Rajinikanth gave his approval, but Murugadoss eventually abandoned the plan when he realised he wouldn’t be able to secure approval from Siva Productions, the team behind Chandramukhi.
In addition to Chandramukhi 2 and Emergency, Kangana is currently working on the Hindi film Tejas. In the long-ago finished movie, she will play an Air Force pilot.
