Bus tragedy in Manipur’s Noney leaves 5 kids dead and numerous others injured.

In an accident that occurred on Wednesday in the Khoupum area of Manipur’s Noney district, at least five pupils from a higher secondary school are presumed dead, with the number of fatalities expected to climb, while many others were hurt, according to police.
At the time this report was submitted, five pupils had already passed away from their injuries while the others had been transferred to local hospitals and medical facilities.
Around 36 students and teachers from Thambalnu Higher Secondary School, Yairipok were on board the bus when it crashed and overturned near Nungsai village, around 50 kilometres south-west of Imphal, at around 11 a.m., according to police.
On a study tour, the students were travelling to Khoupum.
There are currently no confirmed information regarding the number of casualties, but the number of fatalities may rise, according to a top official of the Noney district.
According to accounts, some of the injured students were brought to Imphal’s private medical facilities.
