Bangalore beat Chennai by 13 runs to move into the top 4.
On Wednesday, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) faced Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in match 49 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL). The Challengers beat the Super Kings by 13 runs to move up to fourth place in the IPL 2022 point standings. Batting first, Bangalore reached 173/8 in 20 overs, thanks to a brilliant effort from Mahipal Lomror, who hit 42 off 27 balls. Dinesh Karthik hit a quickfire 27 off 17 balls near the conclusion of RCB’s innings to help them reach their target.
Chennai Super Kings lost opener Ruturaj Gaikwad for 28 runs off 23 balls in the second innings. Devon Conway hit his second consecutive fifty for CSK, but it was fruitless as the team was unable to chase down the target and was limited to 160/8 in 20 overs. Moeen Ali was the lone batter in CSK’s middle order to score some runs. Harshal Patel bowled superbly to take three wickets and was selected as the player of the match for his efforts with the ball.
