Ajith Kumar’s AK 61 is titled Thunive Thunai: Official first look poster to be released soon.
Ajith Kumar is teaming up with hitmaker H Vinoth for his 61st film, tentatively titled AK 61. The robbery thriller marks Ajith’s third collaboration with the filmmaker, following the renowned courtroom drama Nerkonda Paarvai and the previous hit Valimai. Pinkvilla has heard that the title ‘Thunive Thunai’ for the much-anticipated film has been finalised. By the first week of October, the title and first look poster for Ajith Kumar’s film will be officially revealed.
Surprisingly, the title ‘Thunive Thunai’ is related to Ajith Kumar’s 2014 film Veeram. Vinayagam, the actor’s character in the Siruthai Siva film, drives a car with the words ‘Thunive Thunai’ inscribed in its mirror. However, it is unknown whether the H Vinoth-directed film has any link to the Veeram world. AK 61 is being marketed as an action-packed heist thriller based on one of the country’s largest real-life bank robberies.
Ajith Kumar is said to be portraying a grey-shaded figure in the film and will be seen in a variety of outfits. For one of his appearances in AK 61, the actor sports grey hair and a big beard, which was written by director H Vinoth himself. The highly anticipated project’s final schedule filming is slated to commence in Bangkok by the end of September. Pongal 2023 is the planned release date for the Ajith Kumar directed film.
Sanjay Dutt is playing the lead antagonist in Ajith Kumar and H Vinoth’s project. Manju Warrier is appearing as the female lead in the film, which features Samuthirakani, Bhagavathi Perumal, John Kokken, Ajay, Cibi Chandran, and others in the supporting roles. Ghibran has composed the music for AK 61, which is produced by Boney Kapoor’s Bayview Projects LLP.
Dhanush shares a new look from the upcoming Captain Miller drama.
