After a fan loses his life, Lokesh Kanagaraj asks moviegoers to appropriately celebrate the release of FDFS.

On January 11, 2023, the two biggest movies of the year—”Thunivu” and “Varisu”—were released in theatres. Both movies received positive reviews, and it is anticipated that their combined box office receipts will surpass Rs 150 crore in their opening weekend.

A 19-year-old boy who was in Chennai on January 11 to celebrate the film’s FDFS died from his injuries after falling from a lorry. Director Lokesh Kanagaraj pleaded with the fans to be prudent and responsible with their lives in a statement to the media following the incident. He reportedly urged the audience to take responsibility for their actions and to view the movie as only an amusement.

He also reportedly said that there was no need to take one’s own life to celebrate a movie. According to reports, director Lokesh advised the audience to enjoy the movie and return home safely, noting that there was no need to endanger one’s life in order to celebrate.

The spinal cord of a little child who was dancing above a truck crossing a lane near Chennai’s Rohini Theater was wounded, according to sources. The child was reportedly there to witness the FDFS of “Thunivu” and is claimed to be a fan of actor Ajith. The film, which was directed by H Vinoth, is a bank robbery thriller starring Ajith and Manju Warrier.

On January 11, the director also viewed Vijay’s “Varisu” FDFS in the theatre. Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna play the main characters in the family drama “Varisu,” which was directed by Vamshi Paidipally. On the job front, Lokesh Kanagaraj is currently filming his upcoming movie, which has the working title “Thalapathy 67,” starring Vijay. According to reports, the movie is a part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe, which also includes the movies “Kaithi” and “Vikram.”
