The third Robot-themed restaurant from the stable of Robot Restaurant opened at Porur in Chennai on Wednesday, after similarly launched ones on the OMR, the IT hub of Chennai, and in Coimbatore, Manchester of south India. According to Mr Venkatesh, who is in the restaurant industry for the past 8 years, the new restaurant where robots are made to serve food, on the lines of the one on OMR Chennai, has a Chinese Thai fine dining restaurant with a good bunch of regular customers. Mr Venkatesh thought of renovating the restaurant on OMR after three years of its successful run by infusing new ideas and lots of themes into it. He said as a team he worked out on a few innovative ideas and their implementation could be evident in the activities of the restaurant which are sure to satisfy the gastronomical instincts of its customers drawn from all sections of society as also the patrons across all domains.
“ Finally, as robots, it will be the first of its kind as well as it can attract customers over the new ambience and more so in its pleasing and heart-warming service and the provision of a variety of Indo Asian cuisines, Mr Venkatesh said. Mr Venkatesh, who was instrumental in the new concept, thought it equally risky initially. But, with the full determination about the implementation and the maintenance, the team led by him gained enough confidence after three months of pre-opening knowledge and training about the robots.
As the team is full of engineers, including Mr. Venkatesh, this has come out well and it is running successfully. Now, after the Coimbatore branch that opened six months ago, the team thought of a plan to open the third branch near DLF at Mugalivakkam in Porur, Chennai. This branch has INDO ASIAN CUISINE added with INDIAN CUISINE too.
“Going forward, we have plans to spread the franchise pan India though focusing initially in South Indian cities, all due to the patronage from customers and well-wishers,who have made our dreams come true, Mr Venkatesh said.
