It’s Pongal Virundhu at Taj Coromandel!

The spirit of Pongal boils over at Southern Spice, Taj Coromandel as you enjoy the elaborate Pongal Virundhu Experience. From the traditional Padaippu kozhambu and Sakkarai Pongal to Water Chestnut Karamani Poriyal and Vendakkai More Kozhambu, celebrate the festival of harvest with a Grand Virundhu for Lunch and Dinner. Savour traditional Parangikkai milagu chaaru (Red pumpkin soup spiked with black pepper), followed by starters that include Vazhapoo kayar katti kola urundai (Spiced banana blossom tied on banana fibre and fried crisp); Chettinadu pala kai suttadhu (Marinated raw jackfruit cooked in a brick oven); and Kuzhipaniyaram with khara chutney (Rice dumplings cooked in a concave mould served with a spicy relish).
