‘innoWAH’ – PALS INNOVATION CHALLENGE COMPETITION – 29 teams from engineering colleges exhibited their projects.
The Pan IIT Alumni Leadership Series (PALS), an education initiative, supported by the IIT Alumni Center, Chennai, as well as the IIT Madras Alumni Charitable Trust, organized the finals and an exhibition of the finalists’ projects of ‘innoWAH’ the Innovation Challenge Competition, on the theme-ENGINEERING A HEALTHY WORLD- today at IIT Madras Research Park. A total of 29 teams from 28engineering colleges of Tamil Nadu participated in the finals and demonstrated their projects to the panel of judges drawn from various industries. The main aim of “innoWAH!”, PALS Innovation Challenge Competition is to recognize promising young innovators and provide a platform for them to showcase their talent.
· First Prize – Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering (SVCE) for novel Corn based Husk Products as Substitute for Plastics
· Second Prize – Rajalakshmi Engineering College (REC)- Hybrid Effluent Water Treatment Technology To Obtain Reusable Water
· Third prize – KCG College of Technology Chennai for the project on Fabrication of Solar powered Wireless Sweeping Machine & RVS College of Engineering & Technology – Safe & Healthy Smart Charger
