Read Carefully

Following the launch of Bonjour India – incubating dreams, ideas and projects which aim to move the partnership between India and France into the future, Alliance Française of Madras in collaboration with Prakriti Foundation, hosted a digital dance performance – HAKANAÏ by Adrien M & Claire B. The performance took place on 28th January 2018 (Sunday) at Sri Mutha Venkatasubba Rao Concert Hall.

  • Linking digital and performing arts, this 40-minute solo performance enchanted the audiences with what art and technology can do when they work hand-in- hand. For the first time, Indian dancer Priyabrata Panigrahi was trained by French dancer Virginie Barjonet to interpret this choreography.
  • Speaking on the performance in Chennai French dancer Virginie Barjonet said “we were very happy to perform in a space full of people and the people of Chennai seemed to enjoy the performance thoroughly.”

“It was great to perform in Chennai. It was a very different energy I received from the audience and as a performer it was great to receive such a great vibe from the audience. It was very comfortable for me to be inside the box performing on stage. I felt the audience also connected with every move of mine” said Priyabrata Panigrahi after the performance.
